Situated halfway between Aurillac and the resort of Le Lioran, Vic-sur-Cère is accessible by train, bus and car. With a history of welcoming tourists dating back to the 17th century, our village is perfect for your holiday, whatever the season. Our mountains offer a wide range of activities to suit every season (hiking, mountain biking, cycling, paragliding, downhill skiing, Nordic skiing). Vic-sur-Cère is the ideal base for your holiday and for exploring the Cantal, with its breathtaking scenery, characterful villages and exceptional produce.
The accommodation is in the heart of the old village. On your arrival, you can leave your luggage at the entrance of your accommodation and park your car in one of the many (free) car parks in the village. During your stay, you'll find a wide range of shopkeepers and craftsmen in the village (bakers, grocers, butchers, florists, tobacconists, booksellers, etc.). And don't forget: there are two weekly markets in the village, on Tuesday and Friday mornings. So grab your baskets! You'll also find bars and restaurants in and around the village. There's also a shopping centre on the outskirts of the village.
Les logements sont dans le cœur ancien du village. A votre arrivée, vous pourrez déposer vos bagages au pied de votre habitation & garer votre véhicule dans les nombreux parkings (gratuits) du village. Lors de votre séjour, de nombreux commerçants et artisans vous accueilleront dans le bourg (boulangers, épiciers-primeurs, bouchers-charcutiers, fleuristes, buralistes, libraire...). A noter : le village accueille deux marchés hebdomadaires, les mardis & vendredis matins. A vos paniers ! Vous trouverez également bars et restaurants dans le village et ses alentours. Around the village, you'll find the mountains, with the Lioran ski resort just 15 minutes away, with its cable car, zip line and ski and mountain bike trails, and the Grand Site du Puy Mary. Discover Aurillac, the two most beautiful villages in France (Salers & Tournemire), the eleven Cantal character towns including Murat, Raulhac and Marcolès, the Viaduc de Garabit, the 82° waters of Chaudes-Aigues or Saint-Flour cathedral. Go even further to Aubrac, the Grand Site of Conques, Rocamadour or Padirac. Vic-sur-Cère is at the heart of this cultural, natural and built heritage.
